A Letter to Layla

To Layla,

Remember the times when the both of us would lie down with you held in my arms and the both of us would stare into the starry night. Oh how heaven smiled upon us. The sky here would suit the both of us even more and if you were here, we could name the constellations together. The cold weather is nothing but a slight distraction between you and me.

Remember how I would help you wash yourself and you would giggle every time I go around your neck? Your tanned brown skin was smoother than silk and I can't help myself from streaking my finger along your body.

How I regretted taking one whole year to notice your beauty though you have bared them to me during that year. Yet, you persevered and eventually I went heads over heels in love with you and though I have seen many other, you were the only one who understand me the most.

Even now I find no pleasure nor passion like yours when I'm around others. Truly you were the perfect match for me and only your ominous presence will ease my worries.

Oh Layla, I sorely miss your curvaceous body and your luscious voice. Oh how I long to brush your beautiful hair and play wonderful melodies with you again. You have endured many trials with as I have with you, and in each trial we held and lifted each other up.

Though we are oceans apart, we are always one and you will always be my first love oh Layla.... my wonderful Yamaha C40 classical guitar.
